Grade 7 Math
This example shows how you might use the flipped learning model to teach prime and composite numbers in the Grade 7 Math classroom.
These activities should be assigned at least 2 days prior to the in-class activities
Students are expected to have not only watched the pre-activity materials, but also to practice and engage with them. Students should come to class with the following prepared:
2. A description of what they learned/what they found interesting and exciting
- One minute reflection: students take a moment to reflect on the practice questions and the activities they engaged in prior to class
- Students discuss what they have learned and address any questions they may have had with their peers in small groups
- Students work on more complex, discovery based problems in groups. The documents below are great examples of in-class problems.
